Here are the updated points standings for the VIHSS after the 3rd round, the Gas Gas grind held at Boyd's Bit on May 19th.

     Round 2 of the 2013 VIHSS is only 3 weeks away!!! The past month has gone by at a rapid speed, feels like yesterday the Roots of Doom and Katoom Hare Scrambles were happening. Here is some important information on this years Gas Gas Grind

If you are itching to race there are several ways to do so in the next few weekends.  First, this Sunday is the Cat Scrach Fever in Squamish. It is part of the PNWMA Coastal series. 

Hey racers, here are the lap times from the Roots of Doom Hare Scramble held on March 31st at Whiskey Creek. Looks like there was some intense racing going on that day!

A great weekend of racing is now in the books,and it seems all were quite happy with the way both events went. The purpose of this blog is mainly just to remind all this is 'our' series and your opinions are welcome in the dirt biker.ca forum for future events.
First off the split classes in the Katoom seemed to go over well giving all a chance to view racing as well as race yourself. Hats off to the organizers for a well laid out course that seemed to be taxing enough without being too easy - something that's hard to judge with the large range of abilities from elite to jr under.

     Hey B.C. trail racers!!! Are you all ready to get back in the saddle and go racing for yet another full on race season!? The season starts this weekend on Vancouver island for the Vancouver island double header! Two great races in one weekend. Saturday is the katoom Hare Scramble up north island In Campbell River. The 2nd race (on Sunday) is back to Whiskey Creek for the Roots of Doom!. Attached is directions to get to both events. you can go here to find more information on the events:

Hey trail riders,

     Time to get ready for the VIHSS poker Run that the WCRA is holding at Whiskey Creek on March 10th, the sunday. This past Sunday (March 3rd)the host club arrowed and completely marked the course for the Poker Run.They also groomed some areas and did some routine maintenance on the trails to get it ready. The weather has been nice the past few days and hopefully it continues onto this upcoming weekend.

     Hey racers, here is a poster for the Vancouver Island Double Header!!. The dates are March 30th - The Katoom Hare Scramble at Campbell River and March 31st - The Roots of Doom at Whiskey Creek, Qualicum.

Update on VIHSS: There has been some big changes happening behind the scenes for our Hare Scramble Series and for off road riding here on Vancouver island. Lately a Society is being formed for our Trail racing series. It has been decided collectively that the new Society will be named: The Vancouver Island Dirt Riders Association. It is still in process , so it is not 100%. There are 9 board directors as of now. 9 directors of which were selectively picked.
